Maestro Luciano Pavarotti’s original recipes and cooking secrets. Maestro at the stove was often curious, intrigued enough to want to understand how his favorite dishes were cooked. He always asked about ingredients and procedures, to those he considered the custodians of traditional culinary wisdom (such as the elderly housekeeper Anna, his wife’s Aunt Bianca or his true friend Valerio); once he had mastered the basic steps, he used to take notes in his personal diaries - the same ones in which he recorded phone numbers, concert dates, personal judgments of his own performances and quotations that struck him. These diaries show here and there long lists of ingredients: those that had been indicated to him and a additional ingredients or steps for the preparation that inspired him, and that he would soon experiment.
